Spicy bacon mushroom melt

Ingredients

the burger

  • 1 1/3 lb ground beef, medium split into 4 1/3 lb balls
  • 4 brioche bun toasted
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices bacon I used maple bacon

The Cheese Sauce

  • 3/4 cup chili con queso
  • 1 lb beer and sriracha braised mushrooms see linked recipe
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapenos

Instructions

Cook the patties til desired done-ness, topping with a cheddar slice toward the end.

  • Build the burgers- heel,patty,2x bacon slices ripped in half, cheese sauce, top
  • Optionally Serve with a pint of the same stout you used for the mushrooms
