Ingredients

Sauce

  • 2 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce or hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp white rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 pinch black pepper

The rest

  • 300 g chow mein noodles cooked to 1 minute less than package instructions, drained
  • 200 g bacon sliced thin
  • 12 large frozen gyoza dumplings Filling of choice, I used kimchi
  • 4 green onion sliced into 2" pieces
  • 2 cups snow peas ends trimmed
  • 1-2 cups water

Instructions

  • Cook the bacon to crispy in a large pan, 8-10 minutes. Remove from pan with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving some of the bacon grease in the pan
  • Add the dumplings to the bacon grease and fry til bottoms are golden brown, 4-5 minutes
  • Add enough water to the pan to fill it up about 1 inch, cover and bring the heat to high.
  • Once the water begins to steam add the greens and the sauce, cover again and steam for 5 minutes
  • Uncover, reduce heat to medium low, add the noodles and bacon, then toss for another minute or two until the noodles are fully coated in sauce and cooked to desired doneness.
  • Serve garnished with more green onions
