Carrot Ketchup

Was looking for a ketchup substitute for putting on my four hour body meals, found this recipe. No sugar, no tomatoes! This recipe makes a sauce that’s considerably more savory than ketchup, so if you’re truly looking for a more kethcup-y flavour, use less salt, cumin and vinegar and even up the cinnamon a little. Taste as you go.

Servings: 2 serving
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups carrots chopped
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup water filtered
- 1/2 tablespoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Steam the carrots until soft, 8 - 10 minutes
- Blend carrots in a blender with all the other ingredients til smooth
- Modify the vinegar and cinnamon to taste
