Bacon Cheddar Jalapeno Soup
Bacon Cheddar Jalapeno Soup Recipe by Raymond Selzer
Servings: 4 serving
Ingredients
- 1 lb bacon
- 4 jalapeno pepper , deseeded and diced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 300 – 400 g cheddar cheese
- to taste pepper
Instructions
- Cut the bacon into squares and fry to crispy. Remove bacon from the pan and saute the jalapenos. Remove the jalapenos from the grease and set aside.
- Add butter, bacon grease, spices and broth to a large pot. Bring to a boil then simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add cream and cheese to the pot and use a hand blender to combine.
- Add bacon and jalapenos to the pot and simmer another 5 minutes.
