  • 1 lb ground beef (I used regular)
  • 1 1/2 tbsps chopped garlic
  • 1 onion medium , chopped
  • 28 oz tomato crushed cans
  • 2 tbsps basil
  • 3 1/8 u2033 strips zucchini medium , sliced into


  • Preheat oven to 375
  • mix together ricotta and parmesian
  • Grill zucchini slices on both sides (1-2 mins per side)
  • In a large pan, brown meat, drain fat and set aside
  • Add oil, onion and garlic to pan and sautee til onions are translucent
  • return meat to pan, add tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper. Bring to boil, then turn down heat and simmer at least 15-20 mins (up to 40 if you want)
  • In a 9xd712 baking dish add a layer of zucchini, then spread meat sauce on top, then ricotta then another layer of zucchini, then mozarella
  • Bake 45 minutes at 375F
