Ingredients
For The Spice Rub
- 1 tsp paprika smokey
- 1 tsp chili pepper
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
For The Pork
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- 355 ml Pepper Dr .
- 1 onion large diced
- 6 hamburger bun
- butter
- bbq sauce
For The Coleslaw
- 1 bag coleslaw mix
- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsps cider vinegar
- 2 tsps sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Combine the chilli powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.Rub the whole pork with the spice mix.
- Heat oil in a large skillet. Sear pork on all sides til browned and fragrant
- Put the pork in your slowcooker, cover with garlic and onions and pour Dr. Pepper over top. Put the lid on and cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 6-8 hours. When it's done, remove the bone and most of the outer fat, then shred with 2 forks.
- After the pork goes into the slow cooker, whisk together mayo, sour cream, vinegar, sugar and salt then pour over coleslaw mix and toss til fully combined. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
- Butter and toast hamburger buns before serving, put pulled pork on bottom bun, then top with generous amount of coleslaw. Serve with fries.
