Bucatini With Sausage Sauce
Bucatini With Sausage Sauce Recipe by Raymond Selzer
Servings: 8 serving
Ingredients
- 2 lbs sausage spicy Italian (8-10) casings removed
- 1 onion medium , diced
- 1 1/2 large tbsps chopped garlic
- 1 28 oz tomato diced cans
- 850 - 900 ml spaghetti sauce plain
- 2 6 oz tomato paste cans
- 2 cups water
- 3 tsps basil dried
- 2 tsps parsley dried
- 1 1/2 tsps brown sugar
- 1/4 cup red wine
- bucatini
- parmesan freshly grated
Instructions
- Break apart sausages and brown the pieces in a large sauce pot. Use a wide and thin spoon to break the sausage into smaller pieces in the pot. Continue to cook until fully browned. About 5-8 minutes.
- Stir in onion and cook until onion softens.
- Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, water, garlic, basil, parsley and sugar. Stir to fully combine and bring to a boil. Once boiling, stir in the wine.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes covered and 30 minutes uncovered.
- Cook bucatini as desired. Serve garnished with parmesan.
