Hot Roast Beef Sandwich with Roasted Red Peppers, Sauteed Onions, Swiss Cheese, Garlic Aioli, and Au Jus for dippin’

large , sliced into 2u2033 slices

Preheat the oven to 500F
In a medium bowl wisk together mayo, garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Cover bowl and refrigerate.
Put pepper on a baking pan line with tin foil. Put in oven for 30 minutes, turning every 10 minutes.
In a medium sized skillet heat olive oil on high til almost smoking. Reduce to medium high and add butter and onions. Season with salt. Sautee for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove pepper from oven and cover with tin foil. Let sit til itu2019s cool enough to tough and has collapsed. Remove core and seed and cut into 1/2u2033 strips.
Spread aioli on insides of bun. Lay face up on a baking sheet. On the bottom piece lay out meat then pile on cheese. Put it in your broiler til cheese is melted and top is toasted, 3-4 minutes.
Remove from broiler, spread onions and peppers over the cheese, top and slice in half width-wise.
Server with au jus for dippinu2019
your choice of cheese, I used swiss, but mozzarella or pepper jack would also be good
