Break apart sausages and brown the pieces in a large sauce pot. Use a wide and thin spoon to break the sausage into smaller pieces in the pot. Continue to cook until fully browned. About 5-8 minutes.
Stir in onion and cook until onion softens.
Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, water, garlic, basil, parsley and sugar. Stir to fully combine and bring to a boil. Once boiling, stir in the wine.
Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes covered and 30 minutes uncovered.
Cook bucatini as desired. Serve garnished with parmesan.
