When you make the KD, make sure the noodles are al dente and don't use cream or milk for the cheese. You want it to be firm and cohesive.
Cook the bacon to preference, set aside. Cut half the strips into small pieces and stir into the KD when you add the powder.
Brush one side of each bread piece with bacon grease and toast in a grill pan, bacon side down.
Assemble sandwiches.
