Cut the bacon into squares and fry to crispy. Remove bacon from the pan and saute the jalapenos. Remove the jalapenos from the grease and set aside.
Add butter, bacon grease, spices and broth to a large pot. Bring to a boil then simmer for 15 minutes.
Add cream and cheese to the pot and use a hand blender to combine.
Add bacon and jalapenos to the pot and simmer another 5 minutes.
