Easy Sausages And Gravy
This is basically my Swedish meatballs with sausage instead, quicker and less mess. Same great creamy gravy. Easy weeknight one pot meal!
Easy Sausages And Gravy

Ingredients
- 4-5 Italian Sausage
- 1/4 cup 10% cream
- 1 tsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp italian seasoning
- 6 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1/2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup white wine, dry
- 2 cups beef broth
Instructions
- heat a large skillet to medium high heat, sear the sausages on all sides til brown, remove from the pan and slice into 2″ pieces, then return them to the pan and continue to sear til dark brown – 5-8 minutes
- Remove the sausages from the pan, turn the heat to high and add the white wine, then scrape up all the brown bits off the pan. Continue to simmer on high until the wine reduces- 1-2 min. Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter, stir it until it melts, then stir in the flour to form a roux
- Add the rest of the ingredients except the sausage, whisk vigorously until the sauce is smooth, bring to a boil then reduce to medium-low and return the sausage to the pan.
- Cook un covered for 10 minutes until the gravy reduces and thickens to your desired thickness. Or optionally add 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water to thicken it quicker
- Serve with frozen fries and veggies for a quick weeknight meal
