The Aioli
1/4cupmayonnaise
3tspprepared horseradish
1tspchopped garlic
1/4tspdijon mustard
1/4tspbalsamic vinegar
Instructions
The Vegetables
Combine all the vegetable and marinade ingredients in a bowl. Make sure to mix thoroughly to fully coat everything. Cover and set aside to marinate briefly
In a small skillet heat some vegetable oil on medium-high, once shimmering add the vegetables and stir fry for 4-5 minutes until the liquid has almost evaporated. Remove the vegetables from the pan and set aside
The Aioli
Whisk together all the aioli ingredients in a small bowl, cover and refrigerate
The Steak
Slice the steak into pieces roughly the size of the bread. Coat with steak spice and set aside.
In a large skillet heat the vegetable oil on medium high, once shimmering melt in the butter, then add the steak to the pan. Fry until browned on both sides, 5-6 minutes, flipping half way through.
Assembly
Turn on the broiler, add 2 pieces of bread to a cooking pan and build the sandwiches. Bottom to top: steak, vegetables, roasted red peppers and artichokes, cheese
Broil the sandwiches open face for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese gets gooey.
While the cheese is broiling spread the aioli on the top bread pieces
Top the sandwiches, cut in half and serve.
