Ingredients

The Sandwiches

  • 1-2 kaiser roll
  • 2-4 small pork chops loin chops
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 gala apple cut into match sticks
  • 1/4 red onion sliced
  • 1 large pickle cut into match sticks
  • 1-2 pieces green leaf lettuce
  • butter for toasting
  • peanut oil for frying
  • 2-4 slices cheddar cheese sharp

Horseradish aioli

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp prepared horseradish

Instructions

The Sandwiches

  • Mix together the flour and spices and set aside
  • pre heat 1" of peanut oil in a medium skillet. You want it at 300F, but want it to get there slowly so it doesnt smoke (around 375-400F)
  • toss together the apples, pickles and onions and set aside
  • In a medium bowl whisk together the egg and milk
  • When the oil has reached 300F dredge a chop through the flour, then the egg, then the flour again, fry in the oil 2 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  • Halve the bread and spread both sides with butter, toast in the oven on broil until toasted, 1-3 minutes depending on your oven and rack position. Keep an eye on them so they dont burn.
  • Spread the top of each bun with aioli. Assemble the sandwiches: lettuce, pork, apples, onions, pickles, top

The Aoili

  • Whisk together all ingredient, cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
