Instructions
Peel the turnips and chop into bite size pieces. Boil for about 20 minutes or until you can easily press a fork into them
sear the meat in a pot with the oil until brown
add garlic, onions and some salt and cook, stirring occasionally until onions are soft
add everything else except the lentils and bring to a rolling boil, then reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes to an hour, stirring occasionally.
stir in the lentils and simmer another 10 minutes.
