Paneer Makhani

Ingredients

  • 24 oz Paneer , cut into cubes
  • 24 oz tomato pureed
  • 2 tbsps ginger grated
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp fenugreek leaves
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsps butter
  • 3/4 cups water
  • 4 tbsps chopped garlic
  • basmati rice

Instructions

  • In a large pan, heat oil and butter, fry the bay leaf til fragrant, around 5 minutes
  • Combine oil and 1 tbsp ginger with oil in a food processor, process into paste, add the paste into the pan and stir to combine, cook another 3 minutes
  • add the tomato puree and stir well to combine
  • add water, stir well then allow to simmer for 5 u2013 10 minutes
  • add jalapenos and let simmer until sauce begins to thicken
  • add the paneer cubes and cook 2-3 minutes
  • stir in fenugreek and garam masala and serve over basmati
